GDPR-conscious, EU-AI-Act-aware AI video production means one thing: your project stays local, and AI generation is included in your subscription (optionally plus a local Ollama model for Phase 1). Teaser-Factory is a local desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) that orchestrates best-in-class models — without a cloud account holding your data.
GDPR-ready AI video software is software that produces AI video while keeping your project data under your control — processing files locally and bundling AI generation into the subscription (optionally a local Ollama model for Phase 1), rather than uploading briefs and brand assets to a fixed cloud vendor. Below are the questions European filmmakers and marketing teams ask most, answered plainly.
It depends on where the data is processed. Most cloud AI video platforms send your briefs, brand assets and prompts to third-party servers — often outside the EU. GDPR compliance then hinges on the provider, the legal basis and a data-processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). A desktop tool that keeps project files local and bundles AI generation into the subscription reduces that exposure.
The EU AI Act introduces transparency and labeling duties for AI-generated content, with broader obligations phasing in around August 2026. AI-generated or manipulated video should be marked as such, and non-compliance can carry significant fines. Building a labeling step into your workflow now is the safe move.
Teaser-Factory is a local desktop application (macOS, Windows, Linux). There is no Teaser-Factory cloud account; your project files, brand assets and timeline stay on your machine. The actual AI generation is included in your subscription and runs through an upstream AI platform for which we provide a DPA (Art. 28 GDPR) and appropriate safeguards — optionally you can additionally connect a local Ollama model for Phase 1, and concept steps can even run fully offline with it.
Models run by providers without an EU-standard data-protection posture warrant scrutiny for confidential work — for example some models from ByteDance or Kuaishou lack an EU-grade privacy framework. Managed generation runs through a platform deliberately chosen for its data posture; for special requirements you can optionally connect a local Ollama model for the concept phase (Phase 1) — your project then stays entirely on your device.
Your project files, timeline and generated content are stored locally — there is no Teaser-Factory SaaS holding your data. What leaves your machine is only what a generation step sends to the AI platform (a prompt, a reference frame) — included in your subscription. With a local Ollama model for concept work (Phase 1), even that can stay on-device.
With a desktop tool the cost is a predictable monthly subscription with a clear quota — AI generation included — instead of a per-seat SaaS that also holds your data. Your creative content stays on your own machine, which keeps spending predictable and your data in your hands — typically far below the 2,500–12,000 EUR range of a classic agency image film.
